the jacuzzi was lovely, the location couldn't be better and the cocktails were yummy!
1. the minimal distance from the sea, 2. whirlpool on the haustop, 3. first-rate cleaning of the rooms every day.
Jacuzzi with view at sea on rooftop, best part of malaga, lively bar, need I say more?
Fanatastic for the proximity to beach, restaurants and bars...this hotel would be more suited to young people as it gets very lively in this specific area in the evenings. It appears to be the only hotel along the whole of the promenade/walkway
Really cosy hotel right in front of the beach. The staff was very helpful and friendly throughout our stay. We had a room on the last floor which gave us possibility to have a nice view & hear waves breaking during the night - really marvelous experience. Having jacuzzi on the rooftop is also a nice thing.
In general we don't think that Malaga beaches are the best on that coast - but the one that is near the hotel is definetly the best - distant from industrial area (which may be a drawback, but the buses to city center go often and bus stop is next to hotel)
Very convenient location right on the vibrant Pedgregalejo beach 3km east of Malaga's center. Our room was a bit small but had a great beach view. Helpful staff. Always check your bill at the on-site restaurant to make sure you ordered everything on there.
The position is fantastic, right on te beach and only a few minutes from Malaga town centre.
We don't speak Spanish, if you don't it can be a problem communicating.
I liked the close proximity to the beach and restaurants and the price!
Very good localization just front on a see saide. You can get throught their own reustaurant stricktly on the beach. Lovely neiborhood. Hotel is quite hidden so not too easy to find it...anyway u cant park at the hotel cuz cars arent allowed there.
The hotel staff are wonderful and keep the hotel very clean. The bar is lively and fun and there are many great restaurants within walking distance. The beaches are lovely and I will be going back again many times as it is such good value.
I hated leaving :)
The best thing was the closeness to the sea.
Main problems: WiFi is "available" but in all practical sense can only be used in the resturant section, the signal is far to week to be used in the rooms. Also, the place is a seafront resturant with a few hotle roomes, not a hotel with a resturant - they staff are 100% brilliant but are too overworked running the seafront resurant which is always full, a guest in the hotel has to go and find staff - not the staffs fault, just not enough of them. The food menu was limited to sandwiches and they sliced bread was massive, not for everybody. They try to put too many tables in the place, once sat down, you cant move. The key cards in the room were very tricky to use and open the doors, failing 25% of the time, and I stay in hotels for a living, not a onc a year traveller.
it was right on the beach the staff was super friendly, and there was a great jacuzzi on the roof of the hotel overlooking the mediterranean sea. a 5 minute bus ride to downtown Malaga. great room 14 overlookin the ocean!! wonderful if i'm in malaga again i will definitely stay there again. only longer next time!!
it was difficult to find. the street address that was given to us was on the beach/restaurant side to the hotel so we had to drag our suitcases through the restaurant to get to the office. The office is only accessible from the other street side door with a hotel room key. a little more signage would be most helpful!
La Chancla is a small, rustic hotel lovely situated in the outer districs of Malagá just on the beach of the Mediterranean. Surrounded by café´s and restaurants, framed beutyfully by the sea and mountain vistas, we had a great time here. Great service, great bar area that seemed to be the most popular hangout about, always full with life. Many were the cold beers that was thrown back there, the ice buckets with bottles on your table is truly great. If you (like us) don´t like massive hotels lined up next to one another cut in the same mold where you spend more time with your countrymen than locals; La Chancla is a great choise for you.
Had my room had a balcony and a refridgerator, I would have moved there! Seriously, if there was one negative I had to mention, it would be the plastic between the sheets and madrass in the beds. I do understand why they are there, but it doesn´t let the beds "breathe".
Quaint hotel with lovely sea view if you can get an oceanview room. Nice rooftop deck with hot tub and fun pub/cafe under hotel that is open late into the night but is not noisy for hotel guests. In an area that caters to locals not so much tourists so get a flavour for the real Spain...loved the place...
I liked the spanish atmosphere and the friendliness of the staff. The rooms were clean and confortable, with fresh fruit and mineral water every day.
